Calcium Chloride Desiccant are used for absorbing moisture. To keep proper humidity in a sealed environment to protect cargo from mold, Calcium Chloride desiccant is widely used in the storage of garments, bags, food, medicine, toys, woodwork, instruments, electronic products etc.

Calcium Chloride desiccant is a high activity absorbent, this kind of desiccant has a stable chemical property, with high capacity, good thermal stability, high mechanical strength, non-toxic, odorless and environment friendly products.

Calcium chloride desiccant is food grade disposable desiccant. Its high absorption rate 300% (RH ≥ 90%), efficiently reducing the relative humidity in the sealed bag and ensure cargo safe storage when transport, prevent cargo from moisture, mildew, rust and corrosion.Used to prevent moisture in shipping containers is called container desiccant.

11. How to calculate the amount of silica gel desiccant?

According to the package size of the product to calculate the package volume, usually,1 liter with 2 grams of silica gel desiccant.

12. How long will it last , how often shall we replace them?

It depends on The warehouse Humidity and temperature and others. But, if add 5% orange SILICA GEL in it, it will be easy to see when the SILICA GEL start absorb moisture. Color change from orange to dark green. Usually, 1 to 2 weeks fully absorb.

13. How much water vapor can the beads absorb? In say, grams per gram? How quickly do they do so?

The moisture absorption rate of Silica Gel Desiccant is about 32% of its weight, 1g of silica gel absorbs 0.32g of water.Regarding how quickly do they do so, generally, the adsorption capacity of bare materials is measured at 24h in our factory.
